Liz Redwood, Bob Towers, Steve Bird, and Bernie Winston have burst onto the creative scene with their brand new collective, Writers Inc Productions. Speaking to Steve Bird about Writers Inc, he explained that the idea came after a December 2022 chat with Liz Redwood. They decided to collaborate on a new writing project for 2023. In April, Bob Towers and Bernie Winston joined the effort, forming Writers Inc Productions.

Liverpool Irish Festival

 Thursday the 19th October marks the official launch of The Irish Festival at the Liverpool Irish Centre in the North of the City, the Irish Communities home since the 1990’s, having previously been at The Wellington Rooms since 1960s on Mount Pleasant. London Irish Folk Rock band The London Lasses will be playing and there will be the usual speeches. The event is free, bookable on Eventbrite. There is even a free drink on arrival. This Year, it is the biggest one yet and offers talks, family days, plays, musical workshops,  films, musical events and a Ceilidh.

Double Bill Comedy coming to Hope Street Theatre

An exciting double bill is hitting the stage on the 16th, 17th and 18th November 2023. The Hope Street Theatre will house Marigold Lately and her hilariously ‘not funny’ one-woman show. You can watch both Dirty Old Town and Scouse farce, Out The Woodwork all in one performance.

For dark comedy lovers, this storytelling Scouse comedy will serve up twist after twist. Local actors, Mikyla Jane Durkan and Lee Clotworthy have collaborated and produced a special and unique taste to the Liverpudlian theatre scene.

Winners Of This Years Fringe!

After an action-packed two weeks of fun-filled Fringe Theatre, I enjoyed a lovely evening schmoozing with fellow Thespians and celebrating our collective achievements. There was a bar, there were snacks, there were awards, and there were speeches (I gave one which I wasn’t expecting to do!). About 'The Creative Wire': it's about plugging plays, the rehearsal process, podcasts, promoting shows, writers, actors, and directors. It's all free, apart from the complimentary theatre ticket for reviews. All run by fellow creatives. I already had some inquiries after the speech, which was absolutely fabulous! One of whom was a winner this year.

We are now hosting tickets for Studio Three

My ultimate goal for The Creative Wire was to become the go-to platform for creatives, and slowly but surely, we are getting there. With the array of different features we provide, I am now thrilled to announce that The Creative Wire has partnered with Studio Three at Arts Bar, Hope Street, to become their official ticket provider.

This collaboration is a significant milestone for my little company, especially considering we launched the platform just under four months ago. This decision came after I departed from my original platform, Opening Nights (very long story)
