Night Out At: They Don’t Really Care About Us

The Liverpool Fringe Festival is a celebration of the wide array of artistic talent this amazing city has to offer. Over 20 shows have graced various stages across the last 2 weeks all of the highest quality and catching them all has been hard but one I did manage to see took my breath away and I can honestly say, one of the best bits of theatre I have ever seen! ‘They Don’t Really Care About Us’ by 4AM Productions was a unique story in its own right and one that I won’t forget for a long time for its powerful and pulsating story that will resonate with just about everyone.

Night Out At: Chasing Rainbows

Upon talking to the producer and writer Steve Bird, my first impression was how warm and funny he is. After introducing ourselves and swapping stories, we began to discuss what was his upcoming play at the time, Chasing Rainbows (the trilogy). I have to admit that even after me and Steve spoke, I still didn’t truly understand exactly how this was going to work! A trilogy in one show? And Chasing Rainbows, in my mind I struggled to connect the title of the play to the narrative of the story that I was hearing all about.

What’s On:At The End Of Our Street

The brothers have the Home Advantage though, and decide to use this in their scheming plans in order to get the new couple not only out of their house, but their city too! With ideas of befriending, by showing them some famous Liverpool hotspots such as The Ironmen of Crosby Beach as well as The Queen’s Knob on The Queen Victoria Statue, whilst also serving them up a delicious dish of Liverpool’s famous ‘Scouse’ stew which is definitely not poisoned.
