Plug-In: 97+

97+ debuted last year at the Liverpool theatre festival and ended with a standing ovation.  Tom Cain Theatre is now bringing 97+, to The Space UK for the company's debut run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The performances will take place from the 14th to the 19th of August, starting at 19:00

In a gripping portrayal of resilience and trauma, the theatrical drama “97+” brings the untold truth of the Hillsborough tragedy to audiences, aiming to raise awareness and support survivors still grappling with its aftermath. The play, set in 2012, delves into the lives of Hillsborough survivors John and Steve, played by Colin Kilbride and Leslie Longley.

Plug-In: Plays In The Key Of Life

Born out of an initial idea from Steve and Liz, the four local writers joined forces and established Writers Inc Productions in April 2023. Their debut show “Plays In The Key Of Life” will be part of the Liverpool Fringe Festival and will run from 13th- 14th October at the Hope Street Theatre. Each writer has produced a 30-minute piece of writing. That’s right, four plays for the price of one! What more could you ask for!

Cruel Summer

Make it Write is a social enterprise and collective of artists aiming to improve opportunities for new writing and fringe performance in Liverpool and the North West. In their latest project, the writers were welcomed and invited to explore the theme of "Cruel Summer" in the writing competition. With over 70 applicants applying across the Northwest. They were asked to weave their tales using a limited number of words while retaining the essence of character, story, plot, and setting.
