One-Sided Love: We filmed a trailer!
On Sunday 21st June, we filmed our trailer for One-Sided Love, the filming went so well and everyone seems so excited about the costume which is great. They look amazing may I add; when they all stood together I was like yes this is coming together. We are thinking of every detail from when the first computer came out, to the fashion and music. I obviously wasn’t born in the 70s therefore it’s a history lesson for me and boy am I learning so much! This is what I love about theatre, that we get to relive the past!! We will be back in 1978 to 1981 on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th August and we cannot wait. The brilliant Andrew filmed the trailer for us and it should be coming out very soon so keep your eyes peeled!
We then went and did a full cast rehearsal which we haven't done since the read through; this is through the choice of my own because the scenes are mainly two characters and I wanted to solely focus on them instead of worrying that people are just sat about. We did have some sitting around on Sunday but it was so good to have all the actors in the room together and the energy just felt great. It was a long day but everyone does seem to be getting along and gelling which is exactly what I want. I believe if you have a relaxed atmosphere then the actors are willing to try new things in terms of how they deliver the lines etc. This play is very natural and it is so real to life. I am so excited for this show and I can’t wait for you to see it.
