One-Sided Love: One Week Later
16-17th August marked my second play for stage and what an experience it was. The cast made the script come to life and they all performed amazing. The two sold out shows were overwhelming because to think that the people in the audience had taken their time out to come to see our play performed. I can’t put into words what that meant to me. The Hope Street Theatre team were ace as usual and thank you to the guys at the Liverpool Arts Bar for taking care of our guests on the two nights and making everyone very welcome.
It was great to also see fellow creatives in the audience supporting; local writer Ste Mc, Wanderlust Theatre Company, Meg McFarlane and the whole crew at City Theatre, to name a few. Thank you for coming out to watch the show. It’s so important we all support one another. The feedback we have been getting from this production has been fantastic and that’s what is important to us, that you, the audience enjoyed the experience. Obviously we are not everyone’s cup of tea and we have had great constructive feedback which we can actually build on to make this production better.
I am my biggest critic and I’ve seen opportunities that I feel I need to improve before we move forward with this production. We are hoping to tour One-Sided Love in the near future and to showcase it to a wider audience. I want to take this time to thank everyone who showed support and I can’t wait for what the future holds. The cast and crew on this production were absolutely amazing, the best team I’ve worked with since I started my creative journey. So what’s next? For me, I’ll be taking a break for a while to work on new material and to work on myself. For Likeminded, well you’ll have to wait and see but it won’t be very long. Remember dream big guys, fuck fear and let your passion overcome anything.
