Drum roll please...

As the government still doesn’t know their arse from their elbow, It doesn’t look like we will be embracing the stage anytime soon.  We have to admit with no clear indication or communication on when indoor performances will be allowed to take place, it is a little bit frustrating if I’m quite honest. We can’t plan anything at all. Even though we have been very busy behind the scenes writing our next planned productions, we personally like to book in advance and have a date to work towards. Without that plan in place, we feel a bit in the dark.

The main thing through this is that we miss connecting with you; our audience and fellow creatives. Without that connection, it’s made it that more difficult to get through. But, with this uncertainty and difficulty we have faced has made us think outside the box and we feel now is the time to move ahead the best way we can. Drumroll please...with our very own podcast.

Yep, that’s right. Likeminded Podcast will be a lively podcast exploring and promoting grass roots theatre and performing arts on Merseyside and the North West. The podcast will get you having a conversation with actors as well as behind the scenes and into the minds and visions of writers, producers and directors, light designers, set designers, the lot. Without these people behind the scenes, it wouldn’t be a show. These are the unsung hero’s who very rarely get recognised for their amazing work and with this platform these creatives can be highlighted and recognised for what they do.

Likeminded Podcast, will be bringing energetic discussions and insightful interviews with people making a difference in the local performing arts scene. The show will reflect what is happening and will inspire innovation. Our aim with this podcast is to be thoughtful, accessible, responsive, warm-hearted and most importantly supporting everyone. We know we are in a competitive industry which is great and its healthy to have that competitive spirit. It can bring the best out of you,  but in order for our community to keep growing, we all need to support one another and we are very proud to say we support everyone. Our door is always open, especially to new creatives who are just starting their journey.

We believe this podcast will be another way of connecting with all you lovely lot on a personal level and along the way highlighting the huge amount of talent bubbling away in our beautiful city. We will still have our blog post on the news and updates page on our website running along side the podcast. We will also be adding on the night episodes of shows before and after to get reactions from the audience and the team behind the show of how it went, this will be called; ‘Opening Night’.

Finally, I’m proud to announce Likeminded Podcast, will be hosted by our very own Caitlin Bradley, along with Likeminded Legend, Bob Towers. The podcast will be Powered by Stratarc. The team has wasted no time in moving forward with this already by getting guests booked in . Im excited to see how far the team will go with this.
