Get ready to mark your calendars, because the Competent Team has a lineup that's bound to keep you entertained from now till the end of the year. From quiz nights to comedy shows and even some spoken word magic, there's something for everyone in this charming roster. As Dan explains: "At Competent HQ (my flat), we are buzzing to bring back our regular events for the Autumn/Winter season. We are passionate about bringing fun and unpretentious entertainment to the Liverpool scene and can't wait to make connections with friendly faces old and new. Aside from that, I'm looking forward to 'Competent Christmas Crackers' in Arts Bar Studio Three, which will be our first night of original Fringe theatre since Covid squashed our Edinburgh dreams in 2020!" - Dan

Competent Quiz Night - September 27th, 25th October, 22nd November, and 13th December.

The new season kicks off with a bang as the Competent Team bring you a brand-new quiz night every month. First up, on September 27th, get ready for a Simpsons Special that promises themed cocktails, cash jackpots, bonus prizes, and of course, plenty of banter. It's a night you won't want to miss, as the they say... "let's get quizzical!"

Adequately Amused - September 29th,17th & 27th October, 10th &14th November and 8th December.

Dan McCreanor's uproarious comedy night makes its triumphant return on September 29th, and it's set to be a regular bi-weekly fixture for the rest of the year. Brace yourself for a night of side-splitting laughs that'll keep you coming back for more.

Words, Words, Words - October 3rd, 7th November and 5th December.

Starting from October 3rd, head down to the Arts Bar basement for an enchanting evening of spoken word. A selection of talented poets will showcase their work, each inspired by a unique prompt. Get ready to witness their original flair and be transported by their powerful words.

The Mix-Up - November (Dates TBA)

The Creative Wire's new networking event, in collaboration with the Competent team and Liverpool Arts Bar, is set to kick off in November. Stay tuned for more details about this exciting opportunity to connect with fellow creatives and spark new collaborations.

Competent Christmas Cracker - December 10th

As the year draws to a close, mark December 10th on your calendar for a one-night-only spectacular. Three actors and three writers come together to perform three Christmas crackers, promising an evening of festive magic that's not to be missed. Join the Competent team in The Arts Bar's new Studio Three for a holiday celebration like no other.
